Our Solihull (Blooms) branch opened its doors in April 2004 and has quickly risen to become one of the Midlands premier Aquatic and reptile centres.

Although only 15 minutes from our main branch, our location offers a reduced travelling time from areas such as Coventry, Tamworth, Kenilworth, Nottingham and Nuneaton making us more accessible for visitors from these areas.

Already well respected experts in the aquatic field, we became the first in the group to enter the world of reptiles. Our incredible success has now lead to all three branches becoming market leaders in reptile sales, advice and husbandry.

Our ultra-modern tropical system offers dedicated habitats for community fish, African cichlids, discus, corydoras catfish, L-number plecos and many more. Weekly shipments from many suppliers enable us to maintain hundreds of varieties and fulfil special customer orders.
Koi have always been a big part of what Shirley Aquatics is all about and here at the Solihull branch we offer a wide selection of both hand picked and standard Koi ranging from bright colourful ogons to exceptionally patterned go-sanke varieties.
We also offer a wide range of goldfish, shubunkins and fancy goldfish to suit your pond or aquarium.
Welcome to the jungle! is the best way of describing our reptile section. We have made every effort to recreate the animals natural habitats. Offering inspirational set ups focused on design and layout. We stock an amazing selection of reptiles with some less frequently seen species such as emerald tree boas and tomato toads being regular guests at our store.We offer a no-limits service when ordering more exotic reptiles, goliath tortoises are just one of the more unusual reptiles on our weekly availability lists.
Reptile live foods are delivered twice a week to ensure maximum freshness and variety of species. All live foods packets are priced at £2.50 each or 5 for £10.00.
Our marine section offers a wide selection of community fish and invertebrates together with dedicated coral tanks. We also have a number of reef displays to demonstrate the best way of keeping marines and inspire future marine hobbyists.
Our outdoor ornament display is second to none. We stock an extensive range of Japanese features, contemporary monoliths and stainless steel self contained units. Our natural waterfall displays offer inspiration and enable you to visualise the appeal of water movement in your garden.
Our outdoor pond plant patio offers a great variety from shallow to deep water marginals and includes a full range of lilies from pygmy to full size.
Pond liners and preformed ponds are always available and we will happily talk you through the right choice of pond for your needs.
Fresh aquarium plants are delivered each week and are backed up with extensive advice on general plant care.
Our purpose built aquarium offers many unique displays from picture frames and coffee tables to bow and flat fronted aquariums in all shapes and sizes.
We offer an extensive range of pet supplies including grooming equipment, bird cages, rabbit hutches, dog beds, leather suites, toys and cargo carriers for both dogs and cats.
Free water testing is always available as is fresh reverse osmosis water.
